Quick and Dirty, Site Re-design

As you can see, new site design is up and running! However, I still have a ton to learn about css and php so that I can get the perfect site up and running. At least this is an improvment over, white and… more white.



Making Games for Windows Live work

I’ve been inducted to a new Game Riot portal called Limit Break, where I’ll be writing about the video game industry as a whole and what it means to be a gamer. I post a piece on the Games For Windows Live debacle and what Microsoft should do to bring it up to speed, here is a sample:

When the Games for Windows Live initiative was launched by Microsoft some two years ago it held a great promise to bring in a true competitor of Steam and to give PC gamers what Xbox 360 players have been enjoying for years. As we all know, GFWL fell very short of its potential. The question becomes, why? How does a company like Microsoft who has shown us their potential through Xbox Live fall so severely short of even its own product and what should they do about it?

Prince of Persia to be savior of video game movies?

As well all know there is a list, a very long list, of bad video game to film adaptations *cough* Hitman *cough* Doom *cough* errm, sorry it’s allergy season. While some films have come close to being good movies, they always seem to disappoint us but at least we could rely on that.

It looks that perhaps that is all about to change. Jerry “Blow It Up” Bruckheimer, man behind many projects is breathing a new life into the video game to film world with the new Prince of Persia starring the “dreamy” Jake Gyllenhaal.

Handle This! A Fake Dissection of the Gamer Rationale

The video game industry has changed a lot in the past several years and one of the biggest changes is the ever growing expanse of online play. When players venture into vast internet to play their favorite games online, they’re faced with a choice. A choice that often proves to me more difficult than it seems on the surface. That choice will reflect your online identity and share to others a little bit about your personality. What I’m talking about (if the title didn’t give it away already) is your online handles.

What I will attempt to do in this post, is dive into the minds of our fellow gamers to possibly gain insight on how the decision making process unfolds as they create their online handles. Follow me as I quantum leap into other peoples minds.
